Lions' Tour Competition
Test your rugby knowledge
and win a Lions rugby shirt!
Guess the ten players who will feature
most on the Lions tour and how many games the Lions will win and you could be
the lucky winner of a 2009 Lions shirt or one of three runners-up prizes of a
bottle of malt whisky (plus one tucked in the shirt)!
The
Lions are off to South Africa to play seven Provincial and three test matches
between 30th May and 4th July. Here's your chance to show
off your rugby knowledge (or lucky guesswork!) and at the same time to help FOSRS, Scotland's
largest and fastest-growing rugby supporters group!
It couldn't be easier to enter. Simply place a tick next to your chosen 10 players on the attached entry form, then predict how many games the Lions will win. You can choose a maximum of 3 players from any one nation. Points are scored as follows:
SCORING:
For every
non test match they play in, you receive 10 points per player.
For every
test match they play in, you receive 20 points per player.
If a
chosen player is named as a replacement and makes it onto the field, he
will receive half the appropriate starting points.
Any
player red carded will lose all points for that game.
The person with the highest score will
win a Lions Rugby shirt (or an international shirt of your choice). In the event of a tie, the winning entries will be
placed in a hat and a winner drawn.
Download the entry form below and pay online, also below, and send the form off to the address given at the bottom of the form.
All
entries to be received no later than Thursday 28th May 2009
The
winners will be announced on the FOSRS website by 14th July. All
proceeds to FOSRS, which as you will know is an independent web-based fans
group interested in and supportive of all aspects of Scottish Rugby.

Bona fide club representatives can earn £1
per entry form they sell if they can evidence that the money is for a club
– an email from a club officer to kate.stonehouse@talktalk.net
will do fine!
